A morning of mild disappointments, a continuance of the dissonant feeling I've been having of late. I picked up the contact sheets from the portraits I did of Sherri's wedding, only to discover that the lighting was way too contrasty. There are a few that came out well, and I think there are some others that can be rescued in adjustments of printing contrast, but many more are far too shadowy. Grr.

Lesson learned.

Disappointment at Enron, at news on their continued slippage. Disappointment in myself for not getting out of that soon enough, for watching the share price dwindle. Disappointment in Morgan Stanley for not having more savvy and attentiveness in letting me know what was going on. ... two years of 80-hour weeks, and this is what I get for it.

So... lesson learned.

My life is being a learning experience lately, apparently.

When's recess?

One of my favorite buttons is a simple black and white one that says in big block letters: Oh no! Not another learning experience!
