Lovely evening watching the Leonid meteor shower. Wasn't able to get terribly far away from the light pollution of the city, but it was still pretty amazing. (When was the last time you saw over thirty shooting stars in an hour?)

Spending the afternoon hacking a shopping cart for the Black Books website. It's a project I've had on the back burner for several months, so it's nice to be making progress on it. Part of getting through it involves setting up PostgreSQL, PHP, and Apache on my workstation (which in turn, involves getting things like gdb, gcc, make, &c. set up), so there's a fair amount of prep going into it. The good news is that these are tools that I'll want to have available anyway.

Too many pursuits? I'm sitting here on a break, drinking coffee ("American water coffee", as the Germans say), and thinking, "Hey, when I wrap this up, I can spend some time working on my platinum/palladium printing."

As the man says, "It's okay when your hobbies get in the way of your work, but when they get in the way of each other..."
